Vivid Party Band Packs the Great Lawn as Bartlem Beats Combines Classic Hits with Community Giving
Hartford-based cover powerhouse Vivid Party Band 

CHESHIRE — Lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and a spirit of local generosity lined the Great Lawn at Bartlem Park (520 South Main Street) tonight. From 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, the Hartford-based cover powerhouse Vivid Party Band delivered a high-octane set for the latest installment of Cheshire’s annual Bartlem Beats Summer Concert Series.  

Named in honor of Richard C. Bartlem—Cheshire’s first Recreation Director, who served the town from 1968 through 1993—Bartlem Park once again proved why it remains the town's premier gathering space.  


A Sound That Kept Cheshire Dancing


CHESHIRE — Lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and a spirit of local generosity lined the Great Lawn at Bartlem Park (520 South Main Street) tonight. From 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, the Hartford-based cover powerhouse Vivid Party Band delivered a high-octane set for the latest installment of Cheshire’s annual Bartlem Beats Summer Concert Series.  

Voted “Best Cover Band” by the Hartford Advocate, Vivid lived up to their nickname, "Thee Party Band." The 5-piece outfit showed off their signature multi-instrumental versatility and tight, multi-part vocal harmonies.  

Spanning decades of hits, their two-hour performance covered everything from 70s classic rock staples like Queen, Journey, and Bon Jovi to modern favorites by Bruno Mars, Blink-182, and Luke Bryan. The energetic set kept concertgoers of all ages singing along and crowding the lawn near the pavilion.  


Food Trucks & Community Service

Attending residents took full advantage of the local fare parked along the venue grounds:

The night also marked a major success for the town's inaugural "Fill a Truck" Food Drive, co-hosted by the Cheshire Department of Public Works and the Cheshire Parks & Recreation Department. Concertgoers lined up outside the south restrooms to drop off non-perishable goods—including canned staples, syrup, and snacks—into the Public Works collection truck. All donations directly support the Cheshire Community Food Pantry to assist local families.

  • Rescue Dogs: Serving up quick-service specialty hot dogs.

  • Roysters BBQ: Delivering slow-cooked barbecue favorites.
