CHESHIRE, CT — The town of Cheshire is preparing for a busy calendar of community festivals, live performances, and seasonal family programs moving into the summer and autumn months. Events are scheduled across several local venues, offering options ranging from historic agricultural traditions to outdoor concerts and youth activities.


Community Festivals & Special Events

The town's event schedule features several notable community gatherings:

  • Cheshire Strawberry Festival & Craft Fair: This historic town tradition returns on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Located at the First Congregational Church Green (111 Church Dr), the free-admission event includes fresh strawberry shortcake, a community expo, and handcrafted items from juried artisans. Live entertainment will be provided by the Cheshire Community Orchestra.  

  • Free Electronics & Mattress Recycling Event: Also taking place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, this bulk-item disposal event is hosted by the Town of Cheshire for residents looking to safely recycle electronics and mattresses.

  • Camp Que - BBQ & Brew: On Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 3:00 PM, Cheshire Craft Brewing (125 Commerce Ct) will host this YMCA fundraiser. Attendees can access dine-in or to-go options featuring Smokin' with Chris BBQ, local draft beer, and cupcakes. Live musical entertainment will be provided by The Mudflaps.

  • Cheshire Grange Community Fair: Scheduled for Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, this classic agricultural fair will take place at the Cheshire Grange Hall (44 Wallingford Rd) and will feature local displays, agricultural exhibits, and community booths.


Live Music & Performances

Outdoor and indoor musical performances are slated at multiple venues across town:

  • The Zambonis Live: Connecticut’s premier hockey-themed indie rock band will perform a free outdoor concert on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the historic Ball & Socket Arts complex (493 West Main St).  

  • Elana Arian Concert & Havdalah: Scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 7:00 PM at Temple Beth David (3 Main St), featuring contemporary Jewish music. The event is free for members, and advance registration is required for all attendees.

  • The Potentials at Bella'Gio: On Friday, June 19, 2026, at 6:00 PM, the patio at Bella'Gio Ristorante (835 West Main St) will host live outdoor music paired with Italian dining options.

  • Bartlem Beats Summer Concert Series: These casual, family-friendly outdoor performances are held on select Friday evenings at 7:00 PM at the Bartlem Recreation Area Bandshell (520 South Main St). The 2026 lineup includes:

    • July 17, 2026: Best of Times (Musical Tribute)

    • August 7, 2026: River of Dreams (Billy Joel Tribute Experience)

    • September 18, 2026: Women of Rock Tribute


Family & Youth Activities

Local organizations have coordinated dedicated programming tailored toward younger families:

2026 Camp Que BBQ & Brew Event IN PERSON OPTION (4-6PM) - $50 - If you have time, hang out with us at Cheshire Craft Brewing. Each ticket holder will get their BBQ dinner, a ticket for a draft CCB brew, and a cupcake for dessert. You will also go home with a can of Counterweight beer and an insulated grocery bag.
